CEEMO DESIGN STUDIO | THE UNIVERSE

The Universe is a carbonfibre lamp I designed during my internship at Ceemo Design. Ceemo Design is a company specialized in composite materials. For example Ceemo designed the roof construction of the Spyker C8 spyder which is made of carbon. During my internship, Ceemo Design was starting to design furniture as well such as: the Orchid chair. My assignment was to design a lamp which was easy to produce and assemble at the Ceemo Engineering department. There is an assembly rendering of the Universe in the pictures above. The Universe has a small amount of parts: there are five carbon components and two part per lamp. 

The Universe is a lamp made of a carbon tube, cut at both ends in an angle of 45 degrees. There are two lamps at both ends of The Universe for evenly light distribution. These tubes are ready-made what makes The Universe easy and fast to produce. The fixation between the lamp and the wall was also the part that holds the lights in The Universe.
